Immigration : Frequently Asked Questions
Does Mansouri & Son immigration department undertake legal aid work? Unfortunately we do not undertake Legal Aid or Publicly Funded work except in relation to Criminal Defence matters and Police Station work. However our fee structure is one of the most competitive around and we can often undertake much of your work on your behalf for a simple fixed fee arrangement. Can I pay for the services you provide in instalments? Yes. We offer one of the most flexible instalment payment options available and will be happy to tailor this to your particular circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs. We also accept all debit and credit cards as a means of payment which can often help you in spreading the costs of your work. What is the difference between Mansouri & Son Solicitors and OISC regulated bodies? As we are a law firm, our immigration department differs significantly from OISC (The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) consultants or advisors in two important respects:
What is my immigration status while my application for a extension visa is pending with the UK Border Agency? Provided you make an application for an extension visa before your current visa expires, you visa will automatically remain valid until the UK Border Agency make a decision in relation to your new application, even if the decision is made after your current visa runs. Furthermore, if your current visa permits you to work in the UK, you may continue to work whilst awaiting a decision on your application. What is a Certificate of Approval and how can I obtain one? We have included a detailed resource about Certificate of Approval's here which should answer all your questions about these
